A pharmacist speaks on the rise of Ivermectin as an alternative to COVID vaccine. He explains why you should be careful with it.

Some members of the anti-vaccine movement are embracing a new medicine.

“Ivermectin is used primarily for worm infections. Both for human and animal cases. It’s also used for the skin treatment of lice. And, I think right now the CDC, they’re seeing an uptick on the use of Ivermectin. And the CDC has concern that it perhaps can give people false hope," says Pharmacist Henry Fonseca.

But there is no approval from the federal government for using the drug to treat COVID before or after.

“It has not had the approval for that. B ut sometimes you have case studies where doctors will try and then they’ll start using it," Fonseca explains.

So the question is, is there anything on the market that’s actually better than the vaccines that are promoted by the CDC?

“There’s not anything better. If it was, I can guarantee it would be brought up to the forefront," Fonseca answers.

Fonseca says he has faith in  the Food and Drug Administration

"People should really appreciate the hard work of those who work with the FDA. And they really do have your best interests at heart. And, they have no benefit in this giving you misinformation versus other people, you don’t really know what their agenda is," he says.

He says trust the process at FDA.

"There’s a lot of debate, a lot of research. When they tell you something works, it really works. Now sometimes you end up catching more side effects like you did with the vaccine. After the fact, because the test population is so small," Fonseca tells us.

Fonseca warns not to get caught with misinformation in regards to healthcare.
