Celebrating our Veterans and Appreciating Their Heroism
Those who have served our country deserve our thanks every day for keeping us safe, but for Veteran's Day they can also score some freebies and deals.
If you're hungry: Applebee's, Chili's, California Pizza Kitchen and Golden Corral are offering complimentary entrees, so is BJ's Brewhouse, vets can also get a free Dr. Pepper there.
Starbucks has a free coffee for veterans along with their spouses. Dunkin' is giving out a donut of your choice.
Or maybe it's time to do some pre-holiday shopping.
Bed Bath & Beyond has 25% off of an entire purchase. Kohl's is giving veterans and their families 30% off, and service members and their families don't even have to leave the house to get 40% off today at UnderArmour.com.
Hopefully those who have served can take advantage of some of those deals, but more importantly we don't want to see anyone get taken advantage of.
Operation Protect Veterans has information and resources you can use at USPIS.gov/Veterans.
The Foundation launched in 2011. One of its initiatives is to build smart homes for wounded vets.
One of the veterans he's helped is Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Jason Ross, a double amputee recovering from an I.E.D. blast in Afghanistan.
