Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell pushed back on the RNC censure resolution of Representative Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for participating on the committee investigating the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol.

McConnell said Tuesday it is "not the job of the RNC" to single out members of the party who may have different views than the majority of its members. He also called the Jan. 6th attack a "violent insurrection."

McConnell also said that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed to him Monday night at a meeting in Washington that Nord Stream 2, an undersea pipeline directly links Russian gas to Europe via Germany, "will not go forward." However, he called it "bad news" if that that would happen after any possible invasion.

McConnell also commented on Maryland Governor Larry Hogan saying he will not run for the U.S. Senate and on proposals to limit how members of Congress invest in the stock market.
