A boat capsized on a Colorado lake and it left one woman dead with 10 other people hospitalized, and one man missing on Sunday.

Authorities say 8 adults and 5 kids were on the large boat near a picnic area at Lake Pueblo State Park. High winds on Sunday night apparently overturned the boat.

The woman died at the scene and a child was flown to a hospital by medical helicopter.

The others that were pulled from the water were taken to hospitals to check for hypothermia.

A cause of death for the woman has not been officially released pending a coroner's exam.

Search and rescue crews were looking for the missing man using sonar but warned that their effort could be difficult because the water is deep, around 80 to 90 feet, and cold.

The lake is about 40 miles south of Colorado Springs.
