On February 9th around 5:30PM, MSP from the Alpena Post responded to the scene of a vehicle in the ditch on Southbound US-23 in Presque Isle Township.

Joshua Wise from Rodgers City told Troopers he was giving Alicia Lutey from Alpena a ride home when he lost control on black ice.

While speaking with wise, Lutey began walking away from the scene telling troopers she needed a restroom.

They asked her if she had weapons or drugs in her possession. She told troopers she had a double-edge knife in her bag.

She was arrested and they found methamphetamines in her coat pocket and a syringe hidden in her sleeve.

Wise was seen throwing something into the snow before Troopers arrived, a K-9 team was called to assist.

Two glass pipes with methamphetamine residue in a bandanna was found as well as a magnetic lock box containing a scale by the K-9 team.

Both Lutey and Wise were arrested and taken to the Presque Isle County jail for arraignment.
