(Los Angeles) — One person is dead following an early morning crash on the 101 Freeway in Studio City.

Firefighters got to the scene Thursday around 3:10 a.m.

Investigators say the driver crashed into a work truck in a construction zone and caught on fire.

California Highway Patrol says the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside after the wreck.

Images from the scene show the charred, smoking car on the side of the road.

The crash closed lanes on the eastbound freeway during the investigation.
