(NEWSnet) — OpenAI was recently sued for using the personal data of millions of consumers to train its artificial intelligence tools.

Recently, three authors, including comedian Sarah Silverman, filed a lawsuit against the company amid allegations of copyright infringement.

The suit filed in US district court also alleges the company illegally acquired their works through a bulk library found on torrent systems. Those are primarily illegal.

Open AI was not the only one named in the suit. Meta faces similar allegations.

It also appears that OpenAI’s essential product, ChatGPT, already lost some of its cache.

According to the Washington Post, traffic on ChatGPT’s website tumbled in recent weeks. In June, it fell by almost 10%.
