The City of Frankfort Fire & Rescue teamed up with Benzie EMS this weekend to help someone who fell into the river.
On Saturday at around 4pm, the City of Frankfort Fire & Rescue were dispatched along with Benzie EMS into the Park for reports that someone had fallen from a tree into the Platte River and sustained a leg injury.
The City of Frankfort Fire & Rescue responded with rescue and medical equipment since it was unknown if the patient was still in the water and required rescue.
When they arrived, park rangers located the patient and assisted them off the river and up to the road, while updating us on their injuries.
This allowed the City of Frankfort Fire & Rescue to focus on patient care and stabilization until the ambulance arrived.
