Michigan State Police Host Open House
The Michigan State Police held an open house at the Traverse City Post on West 14th Street. With the goal of inviting people in to see what they do.
The Traverse City Post closed in 2011 but was originally built in 1932 when the MSP was only 15 years old. Now the post is reopened when the MSP is 106 years old, and troopers figured the best way to celebrate it was with the community.
The most important aspect of the event was giving people a chance to meet the troopers and have a familiar face in a time of need.
The Michigan State Police is also always looking for new members, so if you are looking for more information or want to join, you can find all the information online or ask your local post.
