DETROIT (NEWSnet/AP) — United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain said Friday that, although Detroit’s automakers have increased wage and benefit offers, he believes the union can gain more if it continues contract negotiation.

In a Facebook Live appearance, Fain did not announce addition of factories to the strike, which has continued for five weeks.. But he warned that UAW could announce such an expansion at any time, depending on how much progress it makes in its negotiation with automakers.
