A pair of raptors, birds returned to the wild just outside of Traverse City. A few months ago, one of those birds couldn't event stand on its own, and now it gets to return to the wild due to the help of Skegemog Raptor Center.

The center takes in injured birds from all over Michigan, and give them a chance to heal and recover. While they heal, they also take chances to study and research more about these creatures and then turn that knowledge back to the public.

Now this non profit is fairly young, only having started a few years ago, so any help you can provide by either donating or volunteering, they would happily accept either.

If you'd like to lend a hand or learn more about their mission, you can find them online at their website or Facebook, and you can always attend public events like these to be able to talk to them and learn more.
