It was a very special weekend for a group of Northern Michigan high school girls, as they made some team history.

They are also serving some notice, they can play with any team in the state.  The Bay Reps Girls Varsity hockey team, who's starting its' first season had its' first scrimmage at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City.  The girls came together in quick time and won 5-3 over the Mid-Michigan Alliance, based out of Midland.  The Bay Reps just had tryouts last Thursday, then less than 48 hours, they had their first exhibition competition. The team is made up of players from Traverse City St. Francis, Traverse City Central, Mancelona and Traverse City West High School.  The Reps scored one in the first period, and two in each of the last two periods.  The goals came from Paisleigh Upshaw, Taryn Beamish, Addie Feeley and Kate Classens.
