In high school boys varsity basketball.  The Glen lake Lakers have been one of the stronger programs in the north, making deep runs in the postseason.

They had a great march last year, but they lost to Traverse City St. Francis in the district championship. Interestingly, at the beginning of this month, the Lakers made a big change in the program.  Jason Bradford is named the head coach of the Glen Lake boys varsity team.

Bradford was the long-time leader of the Lakers' girls varsity basketball team.  He led them to the state championship last year.  After the title win, he resigned as the girls head coach to take a little time away from the game, and spend more time with his family.  The opportunity for the boys team came up, Bradford says he accepted the position, knowing in the next couple of years, his sons will make the team.

Right now, the Lakers are at 9-2, they next Benzie Central at home on Thursday night.  This season, the Glen Lake teams have moved down to Division 4, this plays to the favor of the Lakers, they are expected to make big noise come tournament time.
