In high school news, there are only a couple of weeks left in the varsity basketball season.  Teams in Northern Michigan are making a final push to make the postseason.  One of those teams is the Northern Michigan Christian School boys' team.

The Comets are on target to get into another Michigan high school playoff.  This time it's a little different, they are playing under 1st-year head coach Rich Bennett.  Bennett was the head coach of the girls' varsity basketball program at Northern Michigan Christian.  He led the Comets to four consecutive district championships.  Now Bennett, is in charge of the boys' program taking over for Kyle Benthem, who stepped down during the off-season.  Last year, the boys fell to Mesick in the district title game.  The players say, it's been a smooth transition in bringing in Bennett.  They think they will go far, when tournament time begins.
