A man is in the Wexford County Jail after deputies tell us he drove into a house.

Early Saturday morning, deputies tell us they responded to the 500 Block of Linden St and found the front half of the vehicle had gone through a wall and was partially inside the home.

The driver, a 44 year old Cadillac man, was assisted out the rear door due to the other doors being blocked and the house filling up with smoke.

Deputies tell us the driver to navigate a curve on Haynes St, driving over the curb onto a flat grass covered area.

He then hit a power pole, crossed Linden St and hit the house.

No injuries were reported.

Deputies say the driver was believed to be intoxicated and taken into custody.

He was charged with OWI as well as leaving the scene of a hit and run accident.
