(NEWSnet/AP) – Louisiana and Missouri are holding presidential primaries Saturday.

Democratic President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump, the former president, both have reached the point in the primary process where they have collected enough state delegates to be the nominees for their respective parties.

But primary season actually lasts a few months, with varying dates among the states.

Louisiana

 

AP has called the Louisiana Democratic primary for Biden.

AP has called the Louisiana Republican primary for Trump.

Missouri

 

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY (D):  Biden, Jason Palmer, Marianne Williamson, former candidate Dean Phillips and two others. “Uncommitted” is also an option.

Results will be announced at a later date.

The Missouri Republicans held their caucus March 2.
