NEW YORK (NEWSnet/AP) — "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" collected $45.2 million in ticket sales over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday.

It opened in 4,345 theaters. “Frozen Empire” received a B+ CinemaScore from moviegoers. In 25 overseas markets, the movie added $16.4 million. The film cost about $100 million to produce.

The No. 2 spot went to “Dune: Part Two,” which added $17.6 million in its fourth weekend of release, bringing its domestic total to $233.4 million. “Kung Fu Panda 4” slid to third place.

In fourth place was the weekend’s other new wide release was “


,” a horror film starring Sydney Sweeney. The film debuted with $5.4 million on 2,354 screens. It’s an independent production that cost less than $10 million.

In fifth was “Arthur the King.”
