2 people were arrested in Wexford County After Michigan State Police say they were found with drug paraphernalia.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday troopers stopped a vehicle on 1st Avenue near Wright Street in Cadillac for an equipment violation.

The driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Bryan David Johnson from Mayville, did not have a valid driver’s license.

Police also found a used syringe in his pant pocket, and had a criminal bench warrant for his arrest out of Lapeer County.

Johnson was placed under arrest.

A passenger, 33-year-old Jessica Lee Hanes from Cadillac, had a criminal bench warrant for her arrest out of Midland County.

During a vehicle search, troopers located a large amount of drug paraphernalia including pipes,
syringes, unused plastic baggies, a digital scale, and sterile water.

Troopers also recovered meth and Hydrocodone pills.

Johnson was arraigned in Wexford County on one count Possession of Methamphetamine Second or Subsequent Offense Notice, one count Possession Analogues Second or Subsequent Offense Notice, one count Driving While License Revoked, and Habitual Offender Third Offense Notice.

He was given a $100,000 cash surety bond.


Hanes was arraigned in Wexford County on one count Possession of Methamphetamine Second or Subsequent Offense Notice, and Habitual Offender Second Offense Notice.

She was given a $100,000 cash surety bond.
