Many groups from around the Traverse City Area came together for an earth day celebration, but focused on the steam and recycling sides of things with MakerFest.

At the event all the different groups had tons for people to see and do. Like robots pulling people around, musical instruments, and using old materials to make something new.

This event gave people a chance to get hands on, while you can always read and see things online, this allowed people a first hand look at what is possible.

If you'd like more info, the Traverse Area District Library or the Grand Traverse Conservation district can point you in the right direction.
