Two people are charged with felony animal cruelty.

After authorities rescued 48 cats and two dogs from a hoarding situation in Emmet County.

The Prosecuting Attorney says Deborah Palcowski and Raven Staines are charged with animal cruelty, with Palcoski also facing charges for lying to a police officer.

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office and the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society conducting the rescue on April 16th, after being called to the home on an unrelated issue.

The pair face up to seven years in prison.
