LOS ANGELES (NEWSnet/AP) — Usher will receive Voice of the Culture Award from American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

He will be honored June 27 at ASCAP's Rhythm & Soul Music Songwriters and Publishers event.

The award goes to ASCAP members who have had a major influence on music and culture.
