(NEWSnet/AP) — North Korea launched additional trash-carrying balloons toward the South after a similar campaign earlier in the week, according to South Korea's military.

South Korea’s Defense Ministry advised people to be aware of falling objects and not to touch anything suspected to be from North Korea, but report them to military or police offices instead.

In Seoul, the city government sent text alerts saying unidentified objects suspected to be flown from North Korea were detected in the sky near the city and the military is responding.

The balloon launches are among a recent series of provocative steps, including a failed spy satellite launch, and short-range missiles aimed at South Korea to demonstrate the  ability for pre-emptive strikes.
