(NEWSnet/AP) — Live Nation is investigating a data breach at its Ticketmaster subsidiary.

In a regulatory filing Friday, Live Nation said that on May 27 "a criminal threat actor'' offered to sell Ticketmaster data on the dark web.

Some media reports say a hacking group named ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for the breach and was seeking $500,000 for the data. It reportedly includes names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card details of millions of Ticketmaster customers.

In a filing with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Live Nation said it is working "to mitigate risk to our users'' and is cooperating with law enforcement. It said the breach is unlikely to have "a material impact” on business operations.
