PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (NEWSnet/AP) – A shooting into a crowd of people about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in North Philadelphia has resulted in multiple injuries, Philadelphia Police reported.

Initial reports are that seven are injured, all of whom police say are in stable condition. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 47 years old.

Officers said Wednesday evening that someone fired nearly 20 shots into a crowd, using a semiautomatic weapon, and then sped off in a dark-colored sedan.

No arrests have been made yet in the case; police said they plan to send additional officers to the area because of what happened.
