(NEWSnet) – Dozens of ice cream cakes, sandwiches and related products made by Totally Cool Inc. are listed in a national recall for the potential that they were contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the recall notice Monday for certain products that were sold this spring both at retail locations and for direct delivery.

No illnesses have yet been reported for this potential contamination, the FDA said. Listeria can result in high fever, severe headaches, nausea and other symptoms, with pregnant women, young children and others at risk for more severe complications.

The listed brands and items include products such as:

  • Chipwich original vanilla chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, 10 club pack.
  • Friendly’s Celebration Ice Cream Cake, 60 ounce size.
  • The Frozen Farmer Elf on the Shelf Santa’s cookies.
  • Hershey’s Ice Cream cookies and cream ice cream cones.
  • Jeni’s chocolate silk pie ice cream sandwiches.

A complete list with photos, package dates and manufacturing codes is available in PDF format on the FDA site.

Customers who purchased one of the products can return the items to place of purchase for a refund.

Customers with additional questions can contact Totally Cool, Inc. at 410-363-7801 and [email protected], between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern time, Monday to Friday.
